According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job market for Nutrition Professionals is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2014. Consistent with this finding, business analysts have noted a shift in consumer preferences toward healthier food and beverage options and some change among food manufacturers to accommodate this shift.

The shift is attributed to a variety of factors, including an aging population, a growing concern within the general populace about health and wellness, and the widely recognized increase in obesity rates among both adults and children.

Bauman College is proud to announce the launch of a new personal growth program, The Eating 4 Health™ Community Cooking Series. These 3-1/2 hour monthly hands-on cooking classes use Eating For Health™-inspired recipes featuring fresh, seasonal, and organic food. The nutritional benefits of each featured food will be discussed as the class enjoys sampling their creations.

The first class, Better Breakfasts and Bars, will be held Sunday, January 30 in all California locations (Saturday, January 29 in Boulder) from noon to 3:30 PM. Join Bauman College's Culinary Arts faculty and learn how to make some of our favorites, such as Homemade Granola with Fresh Almond Milk and easy Fruit & Nut Bars that you can grab & go.

A Lecture and Healthy Snack Tasting

Sunday, 1/16, 4-6 pm

Reservations required for this FREE community event.
